HOW TO ARRIVE

Shanti Maurice is accessible via daily direct flights from Europe with Air Mauritius, Emirates, British Airways, Condor, etc. The resort is only a mere 35 kilometres or a 40-minute scenic drive from the airport. Limousine and helicopter services are available upon request.

VISA/CUSTOMS

A visa is required for many travellers visiting Mauritius. Please check with your local Mauritian Embassy or Consulate for cost and application.

LANGUAGE

The official language is English, however, French is more frequently used and Creole, a language derived from French, remains the lingua franca.

CURRENCY

The official currency is the Mauritian Rupee (MUR), however, the Euro and the United States Dollar are widely accepted in most shops.

WEATHER

The local climate is tropical, with temperatures averaging from 30 Celsius in December to 22 Celsius in June; there is a warm, dry Winter from May to November and a hot and humid Summer from November to May.
